To quote my 10 year old, "B E S T. T R I P .E V E R!!"

Family vacations are about creating lasting memories, and boy did we make some good ones at the Royalton Riviera Cancun!   If you have kids and are considering a beach vacation, you absolutely must check out this property.  I think the highlight was the kids club staff.  They were great within the kids club and even better at the daily activities throughout the resort.  When we weren't dancing with Max + Ruby, getting crazy at the pool foam party, testing our bravery at the bungee trampoline (let me tell you, my daughter shocked everyone) or exploring the splash pad, you could find us relaxing by the pool or beach over in the quieter, more low-key Diamond Club section.  We seriously had a blast.  And here are some pictures to prove it.....

We are early birds, and it was such a treat to wake up and watch the sunrise and enjoy the quiet, empty resort

As I mentioned, the Diamond Club pool/beach area was our favorite spot.  The pools were quieter and less crowded, and when we were lucky enough to snag a cabana, we could spend all day there.  There is no better place to take a mid-afternoon snooze.  My daughter can vouch for that!  And the kids were in heaven with all of the yummy drinks they could order poolside or at the bar. 

Another favorite spot was the coffee/gelato shop!  Unlimited hot chocolate, donuts, gelato, soft-serve, smoothies?!?  Yes, please!

And don't even get me started on the parties for the kids.  Foam machines, DJs, women dressed as mermaids, Super Heroes, bungee trampoline, relay races, dance parties, pinatas, the list goes on.....
