It's winter. It's cold. It's time to binge-watch some good tv. I've rounded up my favorites below, which are approved by myself and my husband. After all, a couple that binge watches together, stays together ;-)
THE KILLING
This
show is my favorite! It aired on AMC, but you can now find it on
Netflix. I believe there are 4 seasons, and they get better with each
one. The Killing is a classic crime show that takes place in Seattle.
It is really dark, but very well written with fantastic characters and
soooo good!
THE AMERICANS
Another
favorite is The Americans, which is still airing on FX. Season 4 is
scheduled to start this March. Set in the '80s during the Cold War, The
Americans tells the story of Russian spies posing as an American
family Who knew Felicity was with the KGB?!
THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE
The
Man in the High Castle shows an alternate history of the world. What
if the US didn't win World War II, and the Nazis controlled the East
Coast and the Japanese ruled the West? Airing on Amazon Prime, I
definitely recommend checking it out. The first season is great, but it
definitely gets better in season 2!
STRANGER THINGS
Set in the 80's,
Stranger Things begins with the disappearance of a 12 year old boy.
His mother (Winona Ryder) and his buddies try to solve the mystery.
Mystery, secret government experiments, the supernatural.... Stranger
Things airs on Netflix. Season 2 starts this summer.
NIGHT OF
I
will start by saying I barely got through the first episode of this
one, but I am glad I did. I was so anxious and uncomfortable, but it
got better by episode 2. Give it a try and stick it out. The Night Of
is an eight-part New York City murder mystery.
