Back in
March, my daughter and I were flown out to North Carolina to film our
THIRD commercial with BEARPAW. It's a blur how all of this began. With
each experience, we enter thinking "Let's soak in every single
minute because we'll probably never get to do something like this
again." And that is exactly how we approached this one.
We
flew in to Raleigh/Durham on a Wednesday evening and were back home by
late Thursday. It was a whirlwind! Our location was my dream home-- a
beautifully restored farmhouse set in the most perfect location. In between
scenes, we ran around the property with the dogs and fed the
ducks. We kind of didn't want to leave.
Our
job was simple --- play around in the kitchen pretending to whip up some cookies
with flour, sprinkles and frosting! Things got messy (and we have the
photos to prove it), but it was so natural and easy. Our final scene was to simply walk out the door with our "cookies." It
was bittersweet. Each time as the door closed, we knew our time in
North Carolina and with BEARPAW was coming to an end.

This whole experience is completely out of my comfort zone, and I have crazy nerves every time. But we go for it, and I am so glad. Amazing experiences and
memories are made, and we meet some pretty awesome people. My daughter is a pro and loves
being in the spotlight. She eases my nerves. Now that we have three commercials under our belt, we have gotten to know and love the regular crew. My daughter
absolutely adores them. I cannot thank y'all enough for your kindness,
patience and confidence in us. We will miss the hair and make up, wardrobe,
yummy snacks, laughs and all the good company. I cannot wait to see the final
result. Fingers crossed that you cut out the awkward, and make us look great. ;-)
