As mentioned in THIS review, we had a blast at Nickelodeon Punta Cana! Here's a little peek into their water park, Aqua Nick, and the Character Breakfast available by reservation only.....
The
kids could have spent all day every day here! One awesome feature is
that it doesn't open until later morning, so no one can sneak in and
reserve spots. You can have a nice, relaxing breakfast, hit the coffee
shop, and then wander over and still get a prime spot. The water park
was lots of fun and was surrounded by shallow water, making it a little
less stressful for the younger guests. Winding around the water park,
you will find a lazy river complete with tubes and water features. The
kids really had a blast floating down and tossing the football back
forth lap after lap. Aqua Nick is where you will find the kids club and
Nickelodeon specific entertainment. It is actually situated across the
road from the rest of the resort. At first I found it odd and
inconvenient, but after spending some time there, I actually grew to
like it's location. There is a path under the road, so you can easily
walk to the park or take a shuttle. The other nice feature is if you
get sick of the slime, songs and characters, you can cross the street,
and you are greeted with a gorgeous, luxury resort sans slime!
Now
if you ask my kids, the absolute highlight of the trip was the family
sliming. You can purchase a personal sliming, roll the dice and hope to
get picked for the random daily slimings or participate in the mass
sliming everday in the late afternoon. Lucky for us, we got to be
personally slimed, and here are the pics to prove it.....
In
addition to the water park, lazy river, and kids club, there is Aqua
Bites. It's a great place to grab a wood fired pizza, a burger, some
fresh fruit, a refreshing drink or some yummy soft serve! They have
some super fun swings too!
CHARACTER BREAKFAST
Our final morning we enjoy breakfast at Zest down by the beach with Spongebob, Dora, Chase, etc. You can book a character breakfast at the front desk. They are offered select days during the week with different themes. Our breakfast was a pj theme with all of the characters, excluding the Ninja Turtles. They also offer a breakfast with just the Ninja Turtles. The breakfast is a very basic buffet, and the food was so-so. The highlight was the (super messy) pink chocolate fountain. Let's just say all of my kids left sticky and pink. The entertainment begins with some dancing and music. Then all of the characters come out one by one for a quick Hello and pictures with each table.
Oh what fun we had! I HIGHLY recommend Nickelodeon Punta Cana! Adios + Gracias, Nickelodeon + Bob Esponja :-)
